Hi,

I had a problem with my modem which seems to have stopped
working after the thunderstorms here (UK) on friday. I have
replace the modem (internal) but now the File menu Print
comes up with printer not available rest the default (or
similar). By going into the control panel print it will
print test pages from the printer menu but that is all.

Have gone through the MickeySoft help but could not get
anywhere with that!!

Any sensible ( I do not really want to buy a new computer)
suggestion would be helpful

Try uninstalling the device and drivers then install it as you would a
new printer. Its worth a shot. download the latest drivers and
updates for your printer.

Thanks for the replies, I have now got it sorted out.
Rather strange but it was due to the printer (Canon s520)
needing a head alignment, (I had previously cleaned the
nozzles) somehow it was letting windows believe that it
was not the default printer and therefore there was no
default printer printer selected.

We did a head alignment and it is all systems go now.
