On my desktop running Powerpoint 2003 and Windows 2000, I made a slide
embedding a 5 min (~160 MB) mpg video clip, and everything works fine.
On my laptop, running Powerpoint 2003 and Win XP, I can't play the video
from a slide. If I use a much smaller video (~ 10 MB), it works. If I just
double click the larger MPG file, it opens my DVD player program and runs
fine. The laptop has 1.25 gigs of RAM, so memory shouldn't be a problem.
It's not a matter of failing to transfer the video w/ the ppt file: I can
make the slide on the laptop.
