I just bought the same camera. WMP does not play MOV files. You either need
one that does such as VLC, or QuickTime. Or, I purchased this converter for
$25.00. Worth every penny IMHO. You can test it free.

MOV to AVI MPEG WMV Converter:

There are others, some free, but as I tried many, this one was easy to use.
The advantage of a converter is being able to e-mail videos as the average
user may only have WMP on their machine.

What media player is on your other computers? I assumed QuickTime would play
it as I believe Apple uses MOV files. I don't have QT myself.

VLC is a nice freeware media player

I already had this on my machine before I got the camera and it played the
MOV files fine. I just cot the converter so I could send videos to friends &
family back east, who for the most part only have WMP.

First off, does Quicktime on that particular computer play ANY .mov files?
downloaded from the internet and such? What version of Quicktime are you
running? Consider upgrading to the latest Quicktime, if not already.

Download VLC as I suggested. No problem playing MOV files with that media
player.
