Can't override Master Slide animation

E

Evi

In PPXP I added animation to a master slide's Title box and Body Text box.
But I can't seem to change this animation for individual slides. And if I
add say some clipart to a normal slide, it carries out the Body Text
animation whether I want it to or not. If I select an animation for the
clipart, if first carries out the animation I selected for the Master
Slide's body text and only then carries out my animation.

Is this normal? Usually Master Slide only adds default stuff to slides which
can be changed for individual slides.

When you add material to the Master slide, it appears on all slides. Your better
off adding your animations to objects on individual slides

Hi Evi!
When you need to change the master animation for a specific slide, do the
following:
1) Open the Custom Animation task pane
2) Select the master animation entry
3) On the drop down list for that entry, select Copy Effects to Slide
4) Play at will

This will leave the master animation on the other slides, but allow you to
do anything you want on this slide.

Let us know if you need more information!

Can you help me, Kathryn?

After fiddling around with animation settings for individual slides, is
there a way to make a slide follow the master slide's animation again?
Revert to being obedient to the master slide?
Thanks,

Vincent Pozon

Just played around for a few minutes and couldn't find any way. Even
re-applying the master doesn't seem to do it. I'll do more playing and let
you know if I find anything, but it won't be until tomorrow.

That's great, Kathryn, I'll try that out when I'm back at college (I've got
