Can't open

I'm trying to open a cd-rom for my class but Internet Explorer pops up saying
Cannot find 'D:/ index.htm'. Make sure the path or Internet address is
correct.
Can anyone please help me?

Are you sure you don't mean Windows Explorer? If you want to use Internet
Explorer to access the files then you can. If you type D: in the address box
what do you see?
