Cant open User Accounts

I can't open "User Accounts" from within "Control Panel".

Nothing happens when I click on it. This is on an XP Home system

An advice on a solution would be highly appreciated.

Try entering the following in the Start Menu Run box:

control userpasswords2

Does that open the User Accounts applet?

In the same Run box try running an SFC scan:

sfc /scannow

Does the SFC scan fix things?

Hi John,

Many thanks for your prompt reply. In answer to your questions:

1) control userpasswords2 does open the User Accounts applet.

2) Running sfc /scannow doesn't fix anything.

any other ideas?
