Can't open this item. This time is not valid due to daylight savings time.

To re-create:
Using an email account that is Pacific Time create an appointment that
starts before midnight and goes past midnight but completes after midnight
when we are supposed to roll our clocks for daylight savings.

Send the calendar entry to someone on eastern time (3 hours later).

It won't let you open the appointment because it starts before daylight
savings and ends after. To get the start / stop times right outlook would
need to alter the duration.

Is there any way to get this to work?

that's weird - outlook usually doesn't give a $#&% about the times or time
zones - it works in GMT and adjusts the time locally. I don;'t think there
is any way around your problem - but I'll check on it.
