can't open some sites

Hi,
I can't open amazon.com, bestbuy.com, staple.com and
google.com (Maybe more). But some sites are ok. I called
IS Provider. They have no idea about it. I checked my
computer and no virus. Do you have any idea about it?

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS, reboot.

Check also for some parasites.

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

This sounds like my problem as well. Only I notice I no
longer have the 'advance tab' in my 'internet option'

As my other message indicates, I think the fortnight virus
wiped out certain settings. I already tried to reinstall
IE 6. but the result is the same.
