What version of Outlook are you running and what mode (Corp/Workgroup,
Internet Mail Only, etc.) do you have it installed in? If you're not
sure, check Help | About.

Hi Ben:
I'm using Office 2000. I've downloaded updates. I think that the program is
installed but won't open, so I can't get to a help screen.

Hi Ben:
Yes, I did a remove program and re-install. Also tried the repair function,
both to no avail. That's when I went to the Microsoft site to download
updates, thinking that maybe that would fix the problem?

What if you create a new profile? (Control Panel | Mail...)

You might also try creating a brand new .PST file to use with that profile
just in case.
