Can't Open My Web Site On-line

D

Dennis Hughes

I'm running FP2003 on XP Pro.

I'm trying to open a site I worked on a few months ago and FP won't allow me
to open it online.

I go into File/Open Site and the file dialogue box comes up with My Network
Places at the top but the site is not listed in the main body of the box.

I type in the www.va-172.org in the site name box at the bottom and receive
an error saying this folder isn't accessible...

I tried going to ie6 and opening the site there, just fine. I use File/Edit
in FP and FP opens, but the page is not live.

I'm sure this is something simple, but I'm baffled.

Thanks for any help,

Dennis

Tried both with and without the http:// with the same results.

It's as if the app doesn't go to the internet to try to access the site. I
have another site that is listed under the my network places that FP
accesses normally.

Maybe I need to enter the site under my network places?

I tried the full url both with the ending slash and without the slash. I
went into my newwork places from Win Explorer and could not find a selection
that would allow me to add it to the list. I have another url in there that
works normally in FP.

Enter it as http://www.va-172.org/

I did, that's why I tried the IE route. That has worked before in the past
when the site didn't want to open in FP directly.

Turns out my host reloaded the extensions and all now works fine. The
server was the problem, thank goodness.

When you opened it in IE did you try File Edit w/ FP
