Can't open MS Word or PPT docs, says doc is unnavailable???

Fit it all in the subject line! I create a doc, save and close it then go
to open it and it say's unnavailable. I've removed MS Office, reloaded and
rebooted -- to no avail. Any ideas would be much appreciated, thanks!

One idea would be to post the question to a newsgroup supporting Word
or PowerPoint; this newsgroup is for a different program, Microsoft
Access. You may also want to run ChkDsk and perhaps also defragment
your hard disk.
