Imbed a word doc in a report

Hi

Can I imbed a Word Doc into an access report so the printer sees it as one
report - which is what I need to make the whole thing run.

I have a report and a word doc
I can print the report - includes personal details address etc,
I can print the word doc via a simple small module and call - I used Word
due to better formatting
I can print them in the right order

But :-(
We have a large (20 draw) main printer that is the only one in the office
big enough (fast enough) to run this print job (over 5,000 reports and then a
6 page double sided Word Doc).

I have tired everything I know (even put a question on the Word forum) to
get word to accept "and save" the printer settings - but have found this is
not an available option in Word 2K.3.

I need each report and Word doc to staple together. No problems if I run
this as an access report or even as a word doc (but once word is closed it
forgets the printer settings)

I have e mailed HP (printer chaps) but they say it is the way the run is
sent so not possible to save the printer setting within the printer it self
(eg to staple each batch of 7 sheets)

Going mad as this needs running next Monday aaarrrrrgggghhhhh

Not really.

I can print them in the right order

It is possible to manipulate the print spooler, but it is not easy and
it's a lot of Win32 API and driver fiddling.

Going mad as this needs running next Monday aaarrrrrgggghhhhh

I think the only solution is to drop the Access reports and print them
using Word Automation. Then you can quite easily merge these Word documents.

Can't use Word merg in this case as each person (in the report) has mulitle
line reports to insert.

The report is a flight confirmation.
I can merge this very simply if they have a set number of flights but most
don't so the word merge fails. I can insert the report into word (not the
other way around though) but even this fails due to Word being cr**.

It's not ideal but we have an attachment we can fit to the printer (I found
it in a store-room) it will replace the inbuilt stapler and I can set it to
staple each set number fo pages - so I am tryng to get this strange machine
to work at the moment.

I hardy ever use word but I have now learned that the only section of office
with no printer setup memory is Word - very stange. Of course I could set
the printer setup from the control panel but even this fails as the printer
will still see it as 2 jobs.

So, trying to get an old IBM machine to word on an XP print run. ha ha this
is quite fun - bit different to normal.
