cant open MS outlook

This prpblem has plagued me twice, I have installed renistall deleated
tired to repair and spend hours with an hp tec and to no avail. The
only way it seems is to format and start all over again but to do this
I loose all my data that is in office outlook. I hope that maybe
someone has a better solution. The message I get is as below.


I cannot open Outlook 2003. I receive the following error message
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open the
Outlook window. The set of folders could not be opened".
 
Is your PST file still on your hard drive? It should be in the C:\Documents
and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
folder
