can't open internet explorer

Hy, i can't open anymore internet explorer 6 on xp home ed. no message
appears. all my other browser netscape, fire , opera works without trouble.
I've a scandisk. but no way to make it go what can i do?

Got to the file IEXPLORE.EXE in Program Files and click on it. If it opens
from there, go to the place from where you normally launch it and right
click then left click on Properties and see if the target file is
IEXPLORE.EXE with the correct path to it. This may have got corrupted.

I've try from there but the problem is still the same, it's seems to start
but an error message appears and the application turn down
