Can't open doc. file

I try to download doc. files and I get this message. "This file does not
have a programs associated with it for proforming this action. Create an
addocation in the Folder Options control panel. Help please I really need
this download ASAP. Thank YOU!

You need Word or some similar app to open a doc file.
Do you have MS Word on your PC

Open Microsoft Word, then File, Open and point it to the doc file you want
to open. If you've lost the file association, reinstall Microsoft Word.

However I'm not sure if you're trying to download this file or open it, your
subject line and your posting are inconsistant.

Run
type "control folders" without the quotes
Hit enter
Under file types tab - create an association or give it one if .doc is
already listed. (WordPad.exe or WinWord.exe if you have Office)
