Can't open a web page in IE6

I'm an AOL 9.0 Optimized SE user, but I can't open a web page in IE6. Also,
none of my microsoft softwares can connect to the web to download update or
others utilities.
How can I solve this problem?

I believe that AOL 9 installs a service that changes the way your
computer connects to the internet. I've seen a friends' computer who
had AOL 9. She could only connect through AOL 9 itself. So, removing
the AOL software would do the trick.

I understand, but if I remove the software, I'll no longer be able to connect
to internet.
That's a serious problem for me. My java sotware doesn't work too.
Please help!
