cant map network drive or look at any of the network

cant map network drive tells me no network found i also
can see any network in network neaborhood but i can ping
anycomputer i want. windows xp sp1
 
yes!!! and also i cant even change network names it is
grayed out
the computer did look at the network and had a maped
network drive at one time this was only with in a couple
month time

Configure the permissions on the computers hard drive ur trying to map.
 
this is not the case, all other computers ca access the
network except this one. and under networking name or
domain on this pc. i cant even change network names on the
pc. it wont see any othe the network. but i can ping the
network.
