can't logon after removing PDC

R

Rasciomon

After removing the W2k DC and went to local XP stations and conected to
"workgroup".
None of the stations (XP) in workgroup will logon to windows, with their
local accounts or even the old domain acounts- which were stored locally. I
get a message saying can't logon, make sure user name and domain is correct,
type yoyr password again, etc....
Any clues?
TIA--

Did you remove the workstations from the domain before removing the DC?
If not, make sure that you select "Options>>>" and select the local machine
name in the "Log on to:" field. Also you have to use the local machine
accounts (Administrator plus whatever local accounts that you created on
each machine) and use that username/password,
