Cant login since last update

Me and some friends have a problem since installing the last update - When I
logout of windows and get to the welcome page I can no loger get a curser to
type in the password. Any ideas?

I have this same problem on my new ACER Aspire E360 that I got from Circuit
City.
Windows XP Pro 5.1, Build 2600) Media Center
AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core 4200+
1022 MB RAM
ATI Radeon X1600 PCI Express w/ 512mb

With more frequency when I log off of my account, the other accounts cannot
log on and I can't log back onto my account.

We can click on the icon so the text box shows up for us to put in the
account password, but no cursor is visible and we cannot type. Yes, we have
tried clicking inside the text box first. We have to restart to get a curor
in the box.

This doesn't happen every time, maybe 1 in 10 at first, now 1 in 6.

Any ideas what is going on?
