Can't log on to my computer

T

Tracy

I tried to log on to my computer using my normal user name
and password, with no luck.
However, I was able to log on to the computer using a
guest account, but now I have no administration rights and
can't access my files.

Any ideas?

Microsoft support can break the password for you but they
charge alot. There are third party tools both kosher and
those that I wouldn't touch that can break the passwords
in NT and 2000. You can search the web for them.

There are also tools that will allow you to read the NTFS
partition and pull off the data but they cost as much as
Microsoft support's help.

I would probably go with Microsoft support if I really
needed to access the data.
