can't load certain web pages

i am running xp with the sp2 upgrade but my computer will not load certain
pages like google, ebay, bungie.net, and a few other from local news
stations. It will however load the yahoo homepage as well as as espn.com.
This is extremely annoying and just wondering if there were any ideas. i
deleted cookies and all of that and checked the ssl's and basically
everything else the wiindows troubleshooter said to do but still no go. i've
been looking over some of the other problems listed here and tried several of
those soloutions but als no success. any help would be greatly appreciated
