Browsers loading web pages incomplete

Hi!

Have been facing a problem with the web browsers, same with both IE7 and
FF2, i.e. they begun to load the web pages partly incomplete, this was maybe
caused by a virus infection, Zotob.o pnp.exe.

The incomplete loading was noted e.g. on Google home page the big Google
logo didn't appear, on other pages the page structure was incomplete with
headers or other objects seen just raw without their styles, some embedded
pictures or graphics were totally missing etc. etc.

After a thorough troubleshooting I didn't find any reasonable way to cure
the problem with the web browser settings, neither by re-installing the
browsers. The only way, a workaround, which did help in this was to add a
new user who got all the pertinent settings newly recreated for him and
transferring all the user's personal files to this new user, and after all
this done deleting the "corrupted" old user.

Best regards,

Hi!

OK, now the problem source is identified, it wasn't any corruption anywhere
.... and, sorry, this problem did't either have any connection to the viruses
or malware ...

The explanation for this problem was the Current User's Easy Accessibility
-> Monitor -> Strong Contrast setting, which will override totally all the
other page colour settings, incl. the maybe self-defined Interent Settings ->
Format Settings -> Override WWW Page Colour Settings and similar ones on the
Firefox etc. browsers.

These last mentioned settings, if ever been touched, will be found on the
registry hive HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/Settings by names
Always Use My xxx with DWORD value 0 disabling my preferences and value 1
enabling my preferred settings, and these in case will also override the page
defined values ...

Best regards,

Pete V.
