Can't load add in

I upgraded for Adobe Acrobat 5.0 to Acrobat 8.0

Now when I start up PPT, I get an error message
"Powerpoint can load add in C:... Acrobat 5.0"

I went the manage add in's location, and the Acrobat 5.0 add in is not
present, just the 8.0.

Any advice?

I'm guessing that your using PowerPoint 2007. If this is the case, Click on the Office Button, Add-Ins, At the bottom of the page, ensure that Comm add-ins is displayed, click on Go..., highlight the one that no longer exists, and select Remove.
