Can't install

I have tried three times to install Vista Beta 2 from the disk I received in
the mail. The check utility says I should be able to run it. However, it
always freezes on the black screen that says "MS Windows Vista bulid XXX" in
the corner. What am I doing wrong?
 
Make sure that you are not installing on your primary home or production
computer. How much free space do you have on the target volume? How much
ram do you have? Have you disconnected all unneeded devices, especially usb
drives, card readers, etc.?
