Vista Beta 2 hangs during setup installation setup

Hi ,

I've just downloaded Windows Vista Beta 2 (32Bit , 4GB file) directly from
MS site (Beta experience) .

Right after entering the installation key (which I received from MS via
email) and clicking "Next" , it seems that
the setup hangs (there's no such noise from the harddrive - I've waited for
about 10 or 15 minutes , and the
setup didn't proceed . It's written "collecting information" at the
bottom-left corner of the screen , but there's no
such progress on the progress bar).

Maybe I need a totally-clean ("fresh" , formatted) C:\ drive , with no OS
installed on it , in order to
install Windows Vista Beta 2? (can't I simply install Windows Vista Beta 2
on another logical drive , eg. D:\ ?).

My computer's configuration is :
Pentium 4 1.5GHz, 512MB RAM , 80GB harddrive .

Thanks in advance ,
Lior .

Please tell me whether you decided to do an upgrade or a clean install. Maybe
I could assist you further. Thanks.

Clean install on drive D:\ , not upgrade (I am trying to install Windows
Vista Beta 2 directly from the DVD which
I've just burnt with the ISO image file of MS).
