can't install windowsXPPRO UPATE FOR MEDIA PLAYER

GO TO UPDATE SITE;;
SCAN AND DOWNLOAD security update KB828026 for scripting
error on windows media player...
I have done this 6 or 7 times and have used the icon for
updating this same item that appears as an auto update
on my desktop..
installation history shows it as a SUCCESSFUL UPDATE
again for 6 or 7 times but why do I keep getting the
REQUEST TO INSTALL IT OVER AND OVER? THANKS
