Can't Install Vista on Dynamic Drive

I have Vista Home Premium Full, and I'm trying to install it on a
seperate HD from my XP Pro. XP is on the C: drive, and I want Vista
on the F: drive, which is NOT a partition, but an entirely different
HDD.

When I started the installation process, Vista told me it couldn't
install on F: b/c it is a Dynamic Drive and not a Basic Drive. I
rebooted into XP and went to Computer Management, and tried to right
click on F: and Convert to Basic Disk, but it is greyed out. I then
tried to reformat F: and make it Basic, but I couldn't find an option
to do that.

How do I make F: a basic drive so I can get Vista running? Thanks!

Boot from the XP CD, start the install process (new install), during
which you can delete all partitions on the "F" drive. Once done, don't
go on installing XP, but instead remove the XP CD and insert the Vista
CD, reboot.
