Cant install the windows vista i downloaded

It says that my computer cannot run this version of the operating system

Hi,

The 64 bit version requires supporting 64 bit hardware. If you can tell us a
bit about your hardware, we can probably tell you if you can install it or
if you need the 32bit version. Regardless though, the 64 bit version cannot
be used for upgrades, you must boot the system with the disk and do a clean
installation.

if you're running XP x64, you can upgrade to 64-bit Vista

Upgrade option is actually disabled if you try to upgrade XP x64 to x64
Vista. Clean install only.
