I've got two PCs: a Dell laptop and an HP desktop. Both
are running Windows XP Home Edition, but the Dell is
English (UK) and the HP is French. On the Dell, I have
pre-installed the language taskbar which includes the
ability to have a little icon at the bottom of the screen
saying which language the keyboard is mapped to. I need
this far more on my French machine, since I may need to
map a French of a UK keyboard. I have tried all the usual
help files but it doesn't seem possible to install the
language bar without first installing speech or
handwriting recognition, and there is no sign of either
of these in the available components shown in the
add/remove programs control panel (this is different from
what the Help files tell me should be happening). Can
anyone suggest what I should do to get the language bar
to appear?
TIA
