can't install software on SP2

Hi
This is my first mail on this newsgroup.
My problem is that vaious programs and drivers will no longer install on XP
Home SP2 danish (with latest updates)
Error message is: corrupt cabinet files - crc errors and more.
It is programs like ActiveSync 4.0 + 4.2, Logitech remote Harmony update -
Adobe Acrobat update and Live Messenger.
The software have worked earlier, so the errormessages must be wrong.
Have disabled my Norton Internet Security and virusscanning, and nVidia
firewall, but still the same errormessage.
Does anybody know what can be wrong?
Sincerely
Hans J. Hansen

The error messages aren't necessarily wrong. Damaged or malfunctioning
memory can corrupt files and downloads, and the problem can suddenly appear.
The fact that it used to work doesn't mean it does now or always will.

Try a memory tester and if any errors are reported, take further action.
For example:
