Can't Install Service Pack 2

I downloaded the .NET Framework SP2 exe to a Windows Server 2003 (standard)
machine, double clicked on the exe and got a message that starts out:

"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer Service
because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may
upgrade a different version of the program..."

I don't understand. This server does in fact have the framework installed
(1.1.4322); and was previously updated with the .NET Framework service pack
1 via the Window Update site.

What's the deal here? How can I get this Service Pack 2 to install?

Thanks!

Not sure what you are talking about. There is no SP2 for .NET v1.1, the
latest is SP1.

Okay, you can call me Homer: it was SP2 for .NET Framework 1.0; of course I
have 1.1 so that explains everything.
