Cant install security updates

I am trying to download and install all necessary
updates. They downloaded okay(took 2 hours) but wouldnt
install. After they downloaded nothing happened at all.
Please tell me how to rectify this so my computer is
safe. Thank you
 
Look for a file with a name containing "Windows update" and ending with .log
in %windir%. It may contain the errors
