Can't install latest Microsoft VM

W

William Plummer

Microsoft has published a Critical Update for Win2K, a new version of the
Virtual Machine. When I try to install it, I get the following message:

"The MS VM you are attempting to install is a protected system component and
can only be updated with a later release of the operating system of service
pack." Can anyone tell me what to do? This did not happen on a
different machine. Thanks.

Send us the location and documentation where you obtained this and the version of the MVM that it is supposed to be. There is no "new" version of the MVM they are just a security updates now. The latest version is ostensibly 5.00.3810 which you can check on your machine by Start | Run | cmd /k jview | OK
