Can't install internet explorer 6.0 properly

Every time i run the installation, he gives me a message
halfway through the setup that he couldn't install some
components. And after the message, he shuts down the
installation and requests to restart my computer. After
the computer has been restarted he asks to continue the
installation but then gives me the same message again.
It's a problem that runs in a circle.
Is it maybe because i haven't removed my internet explorer
5.5 version. Or isn't that necessary to install 6.0?

thx

O

oops!!

Are you running WinME?

For the "unable to install all components" issue in WinME, try this:

Go to My Computer - Tools - Folder Options - View:
- Select "Show hidden files and folders", click Apply - OK

Create a temp folder named "Old uninstall".

Go to folder C:/Program Files/Internet Explorer/Uninstall Information.

Now Edit - Select All - Cut all files.

Open "Old uninstall" folder and paste the files.

You will now be able to install all the troublesome components.

If everything works as expected, you can delete the "Old Uninstall" folder
and the files you moved.

Good luck,

Zee

Is your anti-virus program disabled while you are attempting this? It should
be.
