Uninstalling Internet Explorer

I've been having the hardest time trying to uninstall Internet Explorer 6.0
and it isn't showing up in the Add/Remove Hardware. I was trying to uninstall
so that I could install Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta but I tried installing it
3 times and each time a window popped up after trying to install stating that
the installation could not be completed. So I figured I had to uninstall the
old version first but it won't let me. Has anyone had this problem or knows
how to fix it?
Thanks.

The downloaded file you are trying to install from may be corrupt. Download
again.

Hi Cecilia,
You said in Add/Remove Hardware that not the place to uninstall
*Software/Application* it where you want to uninstall Hardware . say like
Sound card, modem, Video card...etc.
Try to go to Add/Remove Programs and be sure the option Show *Updates* is
Ticked to show all IE sp1 and so on updates to delete.
Then look for IE and remove or you can Repair if you have trouble with it.
I don't know why you are going for IE7 it is still in Beta testing and not
recomended for Production or home/office machines, mostly for developer and
programmers to test it for their Under onstructions Application to work with
the new Version and not have to put on the market Softwares does not function
with new version of IE.
if you realy would like to Get the experince try it, if you think you will
get more performance, I don't think yet, as I said it is still under testing
phase.
Hope this helps
Regards
nass
