Can't install BCM 2007 SP1 update

Three other updates installed no problem but I get a message that BCM wasn't
installed and it says Error Code 779. I spent 2 hours searching the
troubleshooting stuff all to no avail and this isn't the first time.

I don't know if it's Vista or BCM but I swear, this may be the straw that
broke tha camel's back and send me running back to Windows XP. I've wasted
so much time since I bought a machine with Vista and Office 2007 I couldn't
even begin to quantify the money I've lost dealing with Vista related
nightmares one after the other.

So, now I've vented. Any idea what the %^#!#$^^ is wrong now?

Do you have Business Contact Manager 2007 installed?
Can you tell me the OS, Office version and the BCM version that you have on
your box? Are you a user or an Administrator?

Yes, I am an administrator. I have a Dell 1700 Vostro laptop. When I
received it I did fresh install of windows Vista, Office 2007 Ultimate,
Quickbooks 2007 and NaturallySpeaking 9.5. There is no other software on the
computer and I have never had a failure of any other windows update to
install.

Hi ocbizlaw,

In Outlook, can you go to Tools --> Trust Center --> Addins, and see if
Business Contact Manager is in the Active Addins?
