Can't import mail file to Outlook

I'm trying to change from Netscape Communicator 7.1 to Outlook. I tried to
import the mail messages, but no such luck. The profile in Netscape was set
up as an IMAP and the user had defined a folder on his computer for the mail
to download into. Problem is, I couldn't FIND this folder on the computer. I
ran a search and found it, but where it said the folder existed, it wasn't.
After about an hour, I inadvertantly deleted the entire user profile from
Netscape. I tracked down the mail message files (extensions .msf and no
extensions) in the recycle bin and moved them to a new folder. The files
seemed to have no program associated with them, but if I open one in a text
editor, they have the message headers. Can anyone help me? Is there anyway to
get the messages back? I now know how to import the messages to Outlook by
way of OE, but I can't get the files into Netscape, OL, or OE at this point!
Please help!

Make a new profile in Netscape, and copy the files with NO extension into
the mail folder. Open each file within Netscape to build the index file.
Then have a look here:
