Can't get to certain pages/sites

Right after I installed Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6
Service Pack 1 (KB834707), and right after McAfee stopped a trojan from
coming in, I cannot get to some seemingly random websites or pages in them to
open. I get a fatal error message with no code of reference number, and IE
shuts down. Any clues?
 
Then maybe some part of that trojan got in. Try spyware scanners and
different virus scanners.
