In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

I have the following two files showing up. No matter how many times I
delete them they keep showing up. They were put there by BitDefender
Antivirus Software and now I can't get rid of them. . .anyone have this same
problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

c:\progra~1\softwin\bitdef~1\bdmcon.exe

C:\Program Files\Softwin\BitDefender8\\bdoesrv.exe

Hi,

Did you uninstall the software?

The fact that they return means that some other portion of the program is
still loading and detecting that they are missing, hence they are recreated.
This is a common technique used to prevent users or viruses from trashing
the installation manually. You might try reinstalling, then properly
uninstalling the software.

Was BitDefender uninstalled ?, or manually removed. Programs
have multifaceted components, such as Services, DLL's and all
types of integration. Security software especially is designed to
protect itself against threats and modifications and may account
for why the startup entries re-appear.
I would try to uninstall BitDefender or check their website and
see if they offer a "Cleanup" utility. A System Restore might be
helpful, if this is a recent event. Restore back to a point when the
BitDefender was working and then remove using the Add/Remove
applet in Control Panel.

Hi David,
Have you already uninstalled BitDefeder antivirus? If not then uninstall
the software first then retry.
