can't get rid of aol icon!!

hello

I deleted everything aol on my computer, except there still an aol system folder icon in "My Computer"...it won't let u delete it..I right click it and it states open, explore, create shortcut.....anybody know how to delete this icon? Im sure it has to do with the registry

Did you use the uninstall routine from Control Panel, add\remove
programs? Or did you just delete everything AOL?

If you didn't use the correct method to remove AOL, you may have to
re-install it so you can correctly remove everything including the
many registry entries it creates.

God...the INDIGNITY!!!! The poor computer has to suffer the installation of
AOL more than once? Is there no limit to the cruelty that some are willing
inflict on their hardware?

I would rather put a slug from a .357 through a computer that to ever put
AOL on it.
