Need help just got FEAR for my pc downloaded it just fine, no problems
whatsoever. When I go to play the game it says video card doesn't meet the
requirements what can I do. In the book it tells me to enable pixel doubling
(where do I find that) then put my 'force dx8 shaders' to on (what) Hope
someone can help me.

Hi playarls,

How does your video card stack up to the requirements I've posted below?
Are you trying to play the game with a card that cannot support FEAR?

Here are a few ways to identify which video card you have
installed on your computer.

1. Click Start / Run / type: dxdiag
Click the Display Tab
Look under Device for the name and manufacturer

2. Click Start / (Settings) Control Panel
Click Display
Click the Settings Tab
Click the Advanced... button
Click the Adapter Tab

Those options can be enabled in the options on the menu.

What graphics card do you have? If it's less than the requirements by a lot
as Jimmy pointed out then it probably won't run at all.

Hi I have a question I just bought the original FEAR game and I can't get it to run. It downloaded quite fine but when I click Play it pops up the loading CD symbol and then does nothing.

My specs.
Intel QuadDuo
4 GIG RAM
1 TB
Radeon HD 4800

All of my other games run like HL2 and FC run like charms but this wont even boot up. Any advice?
