can't get internet explorer to open

[help me]

I have a brand new computer with all the latest anti-virus
software and all the bells and whistles. All of a sudden,
I lost the ability to open applications and it all started
with internet explorer. Whenever I turn on my computer it
says in the header Run dll. The text below this header
says the following: Could not find
c:/windows/system32/bridge.dll to load. Now I can't turn
on ie and a lot of other programs. It seems that the
problem is getting worse. Somebody please help me. My
