can't get emails

I have not been able to get emails all day, whenever I try the following
message pops up:

Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3,
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC15

I don't know what's causing it.
Does IE work?
