Can't get computer to boot up

It stops at the beginning Windows XP window and doesn't go
any further.
 
Hi Joanne,

What were you doing with the system before this started?
Are you able to access Safe mode or try the Last Known Good Config?

For safe mode...while the system is booting..right after it polls the A:
drive..press F8 and hold for a sec or 2, and you should get a screen with
choices and one will be Windows Safe Mode.
