cant get battlefield 2 deluxe to work

the game insalls fine but you go to play the game the screen goes black and
the back to the computer screen cant play the game I have the windows vista
home prem. and have tried the compatibility and the administrator advice very
frustrated w/ vista dont know where else to turn
 
I have VISTA Home Premium. Same thing happened to me. Discovered my Firewall
was not allowing the game to access the internet. Once I changed permissions
to "allow", worked fine. I use Norton 360 Firewall.
