My company give admin right of laptops to end users. On FTP functionality,
we can FTP internal FTP addresses but not external FTP sites. If I use the
laptop at my home network (cable internet access), FTP works fine no matter
where the sites are.
On a another PC at work, I'm the administrator but I still can't FTP
outside. The only person can FTP outside is the webmaster. I asked IT
department to help but they couldn't figure it out (or reluctant to give me
that access). I suspect that it relates to firewall and different account
access to firewall.
Does anyone know why this happens and can give a specific direction so I
can direct them to the right spot?
Thanks for the help,
