Can't ftp, error reads "not accessible, located on unavailable volumn"

Knowledge base says to edit registry in
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/lnkfile, which I hope I did correctly
but I still can't access my website. Also suggests
using "Tweak Ui" but I don't have an icon for it control
panel, tried loading an .exe that said it would display
one but a wizard keeps trying to install & never does.
Any help would be so appreciated...I've been at it or
hours.

Did you restart the computer after you
edited the registry??
Registry "root" changes require a reboot
to become effective.

Yes, more than once because I also tried installing
the Tweak UI download...still nothing. But thanks

What was your original issue, and why do you think it is your machine and
not the remote hosted server?
