Can't find the Archive

My old emails were going missing from the inbox. So i checked the auto
archive settings, and it seemed to be archiving them.
So i turned it off.
No i want to access these archived emails. So i went to file->open ourlook
data file, but there's no archive.pst file there.
i searched the computer for archive.pst, an there isn't one.
Where's the archived emails????

Yes, i looked in the autoarchive dialog for the correct directory. But when i
go into that directory.... just the outlook.pst file is there.
PS: Using Vista & Office 2007

the location of the archive pst should be on the tools, options, other,
autoarchive dialog.
