Troubles after installing SP-2
Modem won't hold connection, get can't find server after very slow
connection. Contacted U.S. Robotics and they gave me a command line to
install. On one machine this works. On my test box it doesn't. have
swapped modems and connecting cables no go.Have stripped to bare bones
and have reinstalled Xp-pro and SP-2 3x's. Can activate Windows with a
slow conwction but can't download any thing else without the server
getting lost after 5-10 mins.
Between XPpro reinstallation, installed Linspire,
It works super no problems. Have a single telephone drop wire that I
switch between machines, so I know its not the line.
I have purchased 3 copies of XPpro + a upgrade disk because Windows has
some features I like, but now the time I waste is a pain.
Any knowedgeable suggestions would be greatly appreciated .
