can't find scanner

I'm new to XP
scanner is not in options-Plustek OpticPro1212u
loaded find then got lost
comes up as camera
no short cut
any answer willhave to be very simple & to the point
also much needed

Try download the latest drivers and patches from the following link:

Further suggestion, use device manager to remove the
scanner, camera (even all the USB ports, hubs). Install the
scanner drivers BEFORE you reboot and connect the scanner.
That way the scanner will be detected and the proper drivers
installed.
